This article is dedicated to the memory of Keith Evans. Keith first arrived in Safford in December 2020, drawn by the news that the Lindsey family was organizing a gathering of balloonists for New Year's weekend. He was one of the original seven pilots who participated that year and became a regular at every subsequent event. Tragically, on January 6th, 2024, Keith passed away following an accident while assisting a fellow pilot. His wife had passed away just shy of a year before him. In honor of Keith's memory, Greg took on the responsibility of flying a memorial flight during the Provo Freedom Fest on July 6th, 2024.
