The Gila Valley Balloon Extravaganza, a vibrant and beloved annual event, has recently achieved nonprofit status by obtaining a 501(c)(3) designation. This milestone allows the organization to enhance its mission of fostering community engagement and celebrating the beauty of hot air ballooning. As a nonprofit, the Gila Valley Balloon Extravaganza can now accept tax-deductible donations, apply for grants, and form strategic partnerships to further enrich the event. This new status promises to bring even more exciting opportunities for community involvement, education, and the continuation of the colorful tradition that brings joy and wonder to the Gila Valley each year.
As a sponsor of the Gila Valley Balloon Extravaganza, you now have flexible options for your contribution. You can opt to use the full amount of your sponsorship as a nonprofit contribution, foregoing the opportunity for riders to fly during the event. Alternatively, a fixed portion of your sponsorship can be allocated for riders, with the remaining amount designated as a nonprofit contribution. This flexibility allows sponsors to support the event and its mission in a way that best aligns with their preferences and objectives.

Extravaganza is the only FREE, family-friendly balloon rally in the state of Arizona and it is ONLY possible through the generous support of our sponsors.
Because we are a non-profit organzation, sponsors choose to receive passenger flights during the event or they can use their donation as a tax deduction. All sponsors receive flights during the event, media promotions throughout the year through social media and Internet websites, and print media including banners on balloon baskets and a banner on the fence at the event.
